About Me

Profile

Hello, I'm Regilio Henry, a programmer and game developer who studied at the University of Derby. I'm from the Netherlands and am currently based in the UK.

As a child, I was drawn to videogames as my main source of entertainment. Most games I played sparked many ideas for me to make my own. When I was 11, this led me to create small games in Gamemaker to try and create what my mind conjured up. At that point, I already knew that this was something I wanted to pursue as a career, although there was a brief period where I stopped making small games. A few year later, I would return to the flow by developing a mod for Minecraft at the age of 15. That was the first time I had ever learned programming language. Thanks to Java, my dream of becoming a game programmer would become a reality. Over the years and during my studies, I had come to love developing. I really enjoy the fulfilment of solving difficult problems and challenging myself to reach new heights and improving myself. Not only does game development provide that for me, it also allows me to create experience that myself and others can enjoy.

Outside of development, I spend time expanding my skills at producing music, learning 2D art, 3D modelling, and animation. Tackling challenges defines who I am, and I am ready for them whenever.

Featured Projects

Sea of Thieves
Sea of Thieves offers the essential pirate experience, packed to the seams with sailing and exploring, fighting and plundering, riddle solving and treasure hunting. My responsibilities on Sea of Thieves focused on implementing core gameplay code and systems. I worked extensively on the multiplayer environment, including server authority, server replication, and networking logic. A major component of my role was ensuring game stability by resolving several long-standing bugs and providing technical support to designers on content updates, tall tales, and building features using Blueprints.

Everwild
Everwild is a cancelled action-adventure video game developed by Rare and published by Xbox Game Studios for Windows and Xbox Series X/S. My focus on Everwild centered on collaborating closely with the design team to rapidly prototype and develop key gameplay features. My work directly supported the creative vision by translating design ideas into functional systems and ensuring the team was unblocked to meet development milestones.
